Outdoor Explorers offers children aged 5-11 space for deeper exploration - longer hikes, team building opportunities, and growing independence, Through play, exploration, and time outdoors, kids build confidence, curiosity, and a strong connection to eachother and the natural world.

Program Structure
Our school aged program is geared towards children ages 5 to 11.
At Sisu Outdoor School while learning is child-led and exploration based, we structure our projects and storytelling around monthly themes to promote learning through tangible themes children can relate to.
Some of our monthly themes include Fungi, Tools, Cooking, Mapping and orienteering
Supplies Needed
Daily students should bring:
backpack, water-bottle, lunch and snack
All weather rainboots (mid-calf neoprene boots work great)
Weather appropriate gear (including extra gloves and socks)

Ideal Outdoor Food Options
Our Outdoor Explorer work up quite an appetite when adventuring. Yet at outdoor school, our snack and lunches are all picnic style. Meaning on any given day we maybe eating over stumps in the firepit, in the forest under trees, or somewhere in between.

Schedules & Closures
School aged classes are offered weekly on Wed or Thurs.

Our school follows the Lake Washington School District weather closures.
